Our first Full Flush in quite some time goes to the one and only Andrew Currie. Cuzza has been dishing out the goods on his board for well over 20 years now and is showing no signs of hanging up the boots.

So Cuz what’s the go with Fuknoath? It’s all about issue seven and a half. Limited Edition for the boyza, collectors edition, that’s it.
What star sign are you? Taurus
You were on SMA back in the day, was it ok, was it gay, do you dig my rap words? That question literally hurt my rib, I’ve got a laughing cramp from that question. Can you please ask me again?
Of course, you were on SMA back in the day, was it ok, was it gay, do you dig my rap words? I dig them hard. Yes I was on SMA back in the day and no it wasn’t gay.

I remember a time when it was a crime to wear shorts in a photo if you wanted it run in a magazine, you ever had a photo run in shorts? Heaps, a couple of my better ones have been wearing shorts. I think my second favorite photo i’ve had printed, which was a Mike O’Meally photo, was wearing shorts and they were quite short.
Do you recall what year that might have been taken? Ah, i rode for Silverstar at the time, and we were on a tour in America skating this fiberglass pool on the side of the freeway, i think it was in either New Orleans or Texas or some god forsaken part of America. But these pools were amazing, it was like a swimming pool graveyard, there were pools everywhere and there was Ricky Oyola, Kevin Taylor, I’m just gonna drop a few names now, who did i say?
Who are some of your all-time favorite photographers? Ari Micropolus, Tobin Yelland, Gabe Morford, Mike O’Meally, Dave Chami and Andrew Peters.

Crew be saying that you and Dank were pretty tight when he found Pizzey bowl, did he tell you straight up or did he hold out? It sure was cool of him to share it with us, i think that was even before he found Soldiers’. I think more recently he found Elanora.
We should probably keep that on the low. We didn’t even do any work on it. I think he built Salk and Tugun with his bare hands.
What’s the go on the Goldy right now, you’re pretty chillin, boogin’ and shit? You said you got flogged in a two foot shorey the other day. I was bodysurfing, that wasn’t boogin’.
You’re splitting hairs here. Bodysurfing is way gnarlier than boogin’. F#knoath, i didn’t even have flippers on. Bodysurfing with flippers is the shit. I’m actually ditching the boog, i’ve decided I’m going to ditch the middle man, I’m either going to surf or I’m going to body surf, no more boogin’.

You’ve been skating a bit of vert again lately, how’s that treating ya? Yeah, nah it’s good. I had one goal that i wanted to accomplish and i got there, so now i can put my pads away for another fourteen years.
What was your goal? I just wanted to do two back to back backside airs, that’s what i wanted to do. So i thought if i could get that i would be stoked.
You spun any fives lately? No, not happening and won’t be happening.
You’ve spun them though right? I have though i almost broke my back and died on the last attempt so i’ve pretty much thought i’ve got no reason to try that again. That and handrails are out the door, got schooled on the rails, three strikes and i was out. Rolled ankle on the Keenan switch crooks one. Tried to feeble it, rolled the old ankos’. Dislocated my finger on a front board in Germany, then for a joke i told the boys in Canberra i was gonna railslide this f#@kin nine stair, thought it would be a piece of piss and just did a f#@kin summy. It was f#@kin three strikes and i was done.
What happened with the 540s’? It was around ‘Money’ the Time video, skating quite a bit of vert, feeling pretty comfy. I’d filmed a pretty half f#@kin decent vert bit and thought it would be nice to top her off with a little five, hadn’t done one in many many years. There’s a difference between 540′s and a McTwist, i did McTwists. A 540 spins sideways, a McTwist you actually go upside down, which to me that was easier to get around. If you can do it, you can do it and do it quite easily, like as easy as a backside air if you do it on the regular, it’s not that intimidating. But i hadn’t been doing them on the regs and i knew that i had to go upside down. So i set up with a pretty big backside air and then just went through it like i was doing them on the regular and went up and next minute i was about five or six foot out of the f#@kin vert ramp at Mona-vale. I came down and bounced off my shoulder and collarbone straight to flat, i just thought, well i might not try another one of those i almost died.(chuckles)

Guest Question Jim Dandy – Who is your favorite Australian skateboarder and why, if you have one? I don’t know if i like the word favorite. However, the Australian skater who i think means the most to me is without a doubt John Findlay. He was a decade my senior and he was a f#@king amazing skateboarder. I grew up skating vert and to see him skate vert was truly an honour. He was classically trained, really proper vert skating and taught me a lot about skating vert. When we first moved to Sydney he was so far out of the realm of a dude we thought we’d become mates with and yet he became our absolute best mate. Like for me, Al Boglio and Christian West, they had Time Skateboards, i skated vert and i skated for them and i really got to know this guy. He had a decade on me so there was ten years of learning from, he was essentially a very intelligent man and i really admired him. So i think for those reasons more so for me he’s the most important Australian skater, like he best represents what’s rad you know. He put me onto good books, good movies, good music, just an individual way at looking at the world. He was just truly unique and individual and just steadfast solid motherf#@ker, just a sick c#@t. Just a sick C#@t.
You’ve been in the game forever now is there any favorite era’s that stand out? Fuck right now honestly, right now. It feels better than it ever has it’s amazing. With age you learn to give less of a fuck about dumb shit and start to realize how f#@kin rad it is to skate at all whether you’re a superstar or a dude just learning whatever the f#@k you do you know it’s skating. It’s sick, so lucky to be able to do it. So now is my favorite era in skateboarding because i appreciate the act of skateboarding more than i ever have. I’m stoked, I’m glad i learnt to skate properly and I’m glad i still get to have a bash.
